Hosting Issues

February 29th, 2008

I thought that it would never happen to me and yes it did. I accidentally allowed my domain name (conortwomey.com) to expire. Your probably thinking how is that possible? Well its easy. With all the spam that is hammering our email addresses, most people who host domain names usually create an email address that is used specifically for that purpose. This email address is entered into the WHOIS record for the domain name. As you might not be aware, the WHOIS record for a domain name is usually a great source of email addresses for spamming. Hence most people don’t bother to read the email that comes in on this email address.

To get around this I decided to register the domain name for the next 10 years. With the dollar vs euro at an all time low, it doesn’t get cheaper than this.
